Think of repairs as fixing what's broken, while maintenance prevents future breakdowns. Regular maintenance, like AC cleaning or slide-out servicing, helps avoid costly emergency repairs and extends your RV's life.
While dealerships offer access to parts departments, they often come with long wait times and higher labor rates. As a mobile service, we bring certified expertise directly to you, saving time and often money. We carry common parts and can typically source others quickly.
Our service fee covers travel time and the convenience of bringing our service and experience directly to you. For multiple visits needed on the same repair, you won't be charged additional service fees. This transparent pricing structure helps us provide reliable service while keeping costs fair.
Our mileage fee goes directly toward fuel, maintenance, and repair of our service vehicle. While some services don’t charge mileage, they often make up for it by charging a larger amount for their service fee or hourly rate.
Absolutely! As a proud Coast Guard veteran myself, I give a 10% discount off of my hourly rate for my military brothers & sisters who have served! And yes, even those of you from the Space Force.
I do not discount parts because I try to keep the cost of them as low as possible to save my customers money.
Payment is expected at the time of service. You will receive an electronic invoice via email or text message from QuickBooks, which you can pay immediately using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and even Venmo or PayPal. Of course, “Cash is King” as they say, and we gladly accept cash payments.
I do require prepayment for any parts over $200 that I do not have in stock and have to order.
Regular cleaning of your air conditioning system is necessary to ensure the proper and efficient operation of your units. We use cleaning products that are specifically designed for your evaporator coils and condenser coils. Additionally, we will straighten the bent fins as necessary to help enhance air flow and increase cooling efficiency. We will also inspect your air ducts for any blockages that may prevent cool air from entering your RV.
While most RV dealerships offer walk-throughs, they can often be rushed and superficial. Dealers often spend as little as 30 minutes with customers after the sale. We take the time to ensure that all your questions are answered. Additionally, we can provide a personalized maintenance schedule that is tailored to your RV. This schedule will help you keep track of the weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance tasks that will help you keep your RV running smoothly and extend its life.
We provide diagnostics and repairs on most RV systems such as: Electrical (both DC & AC power), converters, inverters, transfer switches, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators, air conditioners, propane systems, slideouts, awnings, power steps, solar panels, auto-levelers, minor repairs and troubleshooting of generators, fluid analysis (engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, hydraulic fluid) for tow-vehicles, motorhomes, and generators, roof inspections and resealing, and more. I don’t charge for an initial phone consultation, so feel free to reach out with any questions.
We do not do any diagnosing or repairs on the following: Motors, Chassis, Transmissions, Windshields & Wipers, Broken Glass, Tires & Wheels (including brakes and bearings), Bodywork, Washing & Detailing, and major repairs of roof and floor damage.
Yes, but on a case-by-case basis. Ultimately, the owner is responsible for the total cost of all repairs at the time of service, regardless of how much a manufacturer or extended warranty service covers. In addition, working with warranties often requires several hours of (customer-reimbursable) administrative work behind the scenes in order to get your repair covered. Many warranties only offer a “flat rate table” reimbursement for services rendered. This means that they may only reimburse 1 hour for a job that actually takes 2 1/2 hours. In this case, the customer is responsible for the difference.
This is generally caused by the extreme amp draw necessary to start the air conditioner compressor. The solution to this is what is generally referred to as a “soft start”. The benefits of having a soft start for an RV air conditioner are substantial. Soft starts allow for more efficient energy use and help reduce the wear and tear on your compressor motor. The best device for this is a Micro-Air EasyStart™. 906 RV Services is a Micro-Air dealer and can provide you with competitive pricing for the EasyStart™ and installation.
As a testimony, on our own camper we can run our 15,000 BTU Furrion AC with an 1800-watt generator.
